About Sky Hopper

Sky Hopper is a one-button flying game that’s easy to learn and very hard to put down. Your bird falls constantly because of gravity. Each tap gives it a quick upward flap. Pipes scroll in from the right with a gap between the top and bottom sections, and you have to fly through each gap without touching anything.

Every pipe you pass scores one point. The rhythm of tapping is the whole game: tap too often and you hit the top pipe, too rarely and you drop into the bottom one. Short rounds make it perfect for a quick break.

How to play

  1. Press Play. Your bird hovers in place until your first tap.
  2. Tap the game, click it, or press Space (or the up arrow) to flap.
  3. Fly through the gaps between pipes. Each pipe you pass is worth one point.
  4. Touching a pipe or the ground ends the round.

Tips and strategy

  • Stay calm and tap in a steady rhythm. Panicked rapid tapping is the most common way to crash into the top pipe.
  • Aim to fly slightly below the centre of each gap — a flap moves you up faster than you fall.
  • Watch the next gap, not your bird. Start adjusting your height as soon as the next pipe appears.
  • Short gentle taps give fine control; you rarely need two taps in quick succession.

Frequently asked questions

Does the game get faster?

No. The speed stays the same, but the gap heights change randomly so every round is different.

Why does my bird hover at the start?

The round only begins on your first flap, giving you time to get ready.

Can I play with a keyboard?

Yes. Space, the up arrow or W all make the bird flap.
